Built in 1912, the green church blends in perfectly with its emerald surroundings. It is a museum in itself and rings Hawaiian hymns every Sunday morning.
Wild Chickens, roosters and families of baby chicks are everywhere, running through parking lots, backyards, roads, jungles and golf courses. The roosters are usually a beautiful red color, occasionally speckled with white spots. They do not just cock-a-doodle-doo at first light, but all day too. Kauai had a few big storms years ago and since then the roosters and chickens have had free rein.
